An evening with Lucien Windrich discussing the hormonal nature of the dwarf planets Haumea and Makemake

Join us for our community Valentine’s Day Astrology soiree this Wednesday, 14th February!

We are thrilled to have special guest Lucien Windrich explore the cosmic forces of attraction through the dwarf planets Haumea and Makemake.

When Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006, he became the natural head of the Kuiper Belt, consolidating his title as Lord of the Underworld. But the Kuiper Belt is home to thousands of smaller objects. What are we to make of them?

The focus of my research for the past few years has been on the dwarf planets Haumea and Makemake, who, as part of the Kuiper Belt, must share in the astrological principle of Pluto, i.e., power, transformation, and reproduction. To this end, Haumea and Makemake appear to be associated with the sex hormones oestrogen and testosterone, respectively.

In this talk, we discuss the validity of the hypothesis, how it emerged, and how it can be used in chart analysis. Since we are dealing with the sex hormones that propelled us into puberty, we will be taking a deeper dive into the heady world of love and romance.’

Lucien worked as a professional musician for many years and has a degree in anthropology. He began studying astrology in the early 90’s and completed the Diploma with the Faculty of Astrological Studies in 1994, after which he worked as a production editor for Astrology Quarterly for a few years. He is a regular speaker at the Lodge. His main interests are in astrological research, and he is currently working on the significance of the dwarf planets in the Kuiper Belt and the use of golden section angles in astrology.

Both beginner and advanced astrology enthusiasts alike are welcome to this illuminating talk, followed by discussion and some music.
